Environmental Policy Statement

Cannon Glass & Glazing Limited will operate and maintain all its activities in an environmentally responsible manner.

In order to comply with the Environmental Policy the following objectives are set:

To enhance working conditions and the environment for employees and clients.
Where a possibility of a pollution threat cannot be eliminated, to monitor and tightly control the process involved.
To control and minimise the use of energy, materials and water.
To recycle all packaging and other materials where economically viable to do so.
To ensure that all employees understand the actions required by them.

 

Implementation of safety and environmental policy

Cannon Glass & Glazing Limited will ensure that all personnel are instructed through this document to carry out the following:

Carry out all work in accordance with relevant Acts, Regulations and the Company Safety and Environmental Policy, as a minimum standard.
Reduce and control noise pollution.
Remove all waste in accordance with current legislation via approved carriers to licensed tips, inclusive of completion of all documentation.
Not to discharge CFC's or Halon into the atmosphere.
Investigate, report, and take preventative action taken against any repetition of safety or environmental incidents.
Conserve all energy, water and paper where economically practical.
Recycle materials where possible.
Cannon Glass will:

Provide and maintain plant and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health.
Make arrangements for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of goods.
Provide information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the Health & Safety of its employees.
Maintain by good housekeeping all areas of work to ensure the Health & Safety of its employees.
Investigate accidents and incidents, and report as appropriate.
Make any necessary arrangements to deal with specific hazards.
Make Contractors and Sub-Contractors aware of their own responsibilities and obligations as required by the Act.
